Natalie Hampson MSc (Hons) Geography


Natalie has 19 years’ experience in this field, 18 of these at M.E.  She has carried out work in a wide range of sectors and projects throughout New Zealand.  Her experience covers assessments of tourism, urban growth issues, retail demand and supply, amenity impacts, economic impact assessment, market demand, land use modelling and policy analysis.  Natalie demonstrates a high level of commitment to her clients and with her project management skills, she frequently plays a leading role in large research projects.


Natalie has specialised in studies relating to new developments, plan and policy changes, urban planning and understanding specific sectors such as the education, marine, aquaculture, events, retail and supermarket industries.  These have been carried out for a range of commercial and central and local government clients. She has presented evidence at Environment Court level. Natalie is an associate member of the NZ Planning Institute (NZPI) and a member of the Resource Management Law Association (RMLA). She is a past member of the RMLA Auckland Branch Committee, and for many years, has worked with the University of Auckland to promote under and post graduate research in economic geography. For 2 years, she was a guest lecturer at AUT. Natalie is based in Wanaka, Otago.
